In 2009 the decision was made to track each and every garment by barcode through our production plant. With our new operational "ScanTrax" system, we can view garment location, age, track the wash history, gather garment counts and so much more. Repairs and replacements are also tracked and reported on the invoice so you know the repair is complete.
No, this isn't a GPS sytem with big brother watching your every move, this is a simple barcode label placed inside the garment. The garment has to be read by a barcode scanner in our facility. The system records the scan of each individual garment.
We wated to offer our customers more accountability of the uniforms they are renting. Employers want to know they are getting the best utilization from their uniform program in an easy to read and convenient way. We now include garment counts on invoice so managers can verify that employees/wearers are using the service the way they are supposed to.
